19th century eight day mahogany and oak long case clock, the hood with brass mounted broken swan neck pediment above arched dial flanked by square reeded pilasters, the waist with cross banded and moulded pointed arched door, on a panel base. Arch painted face with sailing ships and floral spandrels, 48 x 12 3/4 inches approx., seconds dial and date aperture. Indistinctly marked '...and Retford'. Two train movement strikes on one bell, complete with two weights and pendulum. 228cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT)
